My Malaysian RM10 3rd Series favourite banknote

This is one of my RM10 Malaysian banknote collection. If I am not mistaken this is the 3rd series. I like this note because of it nice number E7-070707. Very auspicious don't you think? Any buyer? Hehe Cheers to all.

Malaysian 20 cent 1994 coin

I stumbled upon this Malaysian 20 cent 1994 coin with low mintage of 2,680,339 when counting my 20 cent coins that I want to send to the bank. This coin info: Material: Copper-Nickel Size: 19.4mm Diameter Weight: 2.82gm Thickness: 1.37mm   And it completed my 20 cent Bunga Raya 1989 till 2010 collection. I know this set is still new but as a collector it is still a self accomplishment. Now hopefully I can stumbled upon the 1995 50 cent coin to complete my 50 cent collection too. Cheers to all.

Malaya 1945 King George 20 cent coin

I got myself my very first King George VI coin from my favourite shop here in KK, Sabah. The price is good for a UNC condition coin. Mine you this coin is already 65 years old. According to the Standard Catalog by Steven Tan 2010 , the price for a UNC price is RM100. I think this is my first silver coin too. Cheers.

Minor error on 50 cent coin

found this two minor error coin in my collection yesterday. The bottom of the coin got some double strike and it is shifted a bit to the top. Actually I don't know what is this error called, maybe someone can help me. This is most probably not that rare. Just a bit different from normal 50 cents coin. Cheers.

RM10 Zeti ZC Replacement and A nice number too

I bought 'sayap ayam panggang' at a nearby stall for dinner and paid RM50 for a RM10 food. But to my surprise I received two RM10 notes in the change that are most welcome to us numismatic lover. First is a replacement ZC prefix: Second is a nice number LT4008888: Although the condition is of course circulated but I am somehow grateful. Any of you have your interesting story of where you found your replacement or valuable notes? Thank you mas. Cheers to all.

10 cent error coin?

Found this weird looking 10 cents in my collection today. At first thought it maybe a worn down old coin but i really hope it is a freak error coin. Anyone can help me decide?

My Malaysian RM5 Banknote series is completed..I guess lol

I got a good deal for the first series Ismail Mohd Ali EF condition RM5 today, so I grabbed it. At least my RM5 collection is completed. Or I thought I have. I am not so sure because of the different printer or security line varieties on the notes. Will check it later. Although not all of my collection is in UNC condition. But I am proud to be able to complete it. Hopefully my RM10 collection will be completed before Raya. Cheers.

My first deal with Lunaticg

First deal with lunaticg went smoothly. I bought two notes from him; RM50 Ali Abul side sign and a Jaafar Hussein RM20 TG prefix. Both for me are AUNC condition. This is the envelope he sent me: This is the cover: Wow so sexy  picture you use? Haha Thank God you gave good packaging; Rm50 Ali Abul Side sign: RM20 Jaafar Hussein: Hopefully we can do more deal in the future. Cheers!

Bank Note and Coin Hunting 18th August 2010

As soon as we got some cash from small project, a friend and I went coin and banknote hunting at our favorite antique shop at Wisma Merdeka. I already set my mind of buying a RM100 USA printed Jaafar Hussein, RM50 Commonwealth 1998, RM20 Aziz Taha and some RM1 coins. But I got a feeling I will buy some other notes too. So the result: and rm2 running number notes: Aziz Taha RM10 Aziz Taha Rm5 with cross: 1998 Games: RM100 Banknotes: So that will only make me much poorer this month. The RM10 Aziz Taha and RM5 with cross is the one note in my mind from the start. But eventually buy it. Cheers. and Happy coin & banknotes hunting

Standard Catalogue of Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei Coin & Paper Money by Steven Tan 19th 2010

I decided against buying the standard catalogue of Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei coin and Paper Money book via online because I just can't wait to get my hand onto it. Haha. So I bought for RM95 after a RM5 discount from a antique shop dealer here in KK, Sabah. I know it is much more expensive than the RM78 you guys in the peninsular are getting but that is the draw down for being in this side of the country. (At least we are eating cheaper seafood here. Lol) The 19th Edition 2010- 2012 front cover: It comes with the 1976 first Edition copy: It is almost 350 pages with full color (Including the ads mind you): Some new addition that caught my eyes is the addition of the 50cents 1988 Extra dot on the parliment building: Even the price for 1967, 1968 and 1969 50cents with security edge also went up a bit: But this one disappointingly remains much cheaper: The 10 cent 1971 went up a bit: The most famous 'CR' AA RM1 also went up quite a bit: Maybe there are so many other price tha

Sa-puloh RM10 first series with agong watermark?

Hello, happy sunday morning all. I am posting about the RM10 first series Ismail Md Ali note. I am curiously why so many people is looking for this note back here in Sabah. They want the note with tiger@harimau watermark. My RM10 below is of course have a tiger watermark: But to the best of my knowledge, the tiger watermark was only put into the malaysian banknote beginning with the 5th series Aziz Taha RM10 note. I heard there is something about 'geng tarik duit' or some 'bomoh' thing that why this note is much sought after. But to us collector, this is something very hard to explain why this note is NOT available to this kind of group of people. Cheers everyone!

Jaffar Bin Hussein 6th Series Banknote RM1 - RM100

Today I managed to complete my Jaffar Hussein Malaysian Banknote collection from RM1 to RM100 with the latest addition of the RM50 from lelong. But the RM500 and RM1000 is still out of my budget. So I would like to display it today. RM1 and RM5: both UNC condition: RM10 (Fine) RM20 (UNC) maybe next time will upgrade the rm10 to UNC. RM50 (AUNC) RM100(E-fine) : My Jaffar Hussein series collection is still missing the RM500 and RM1000 hopefully can get it later. No need to hurry. The price of these notes are killing me. Updated: RM500 added to the collection. Now only need RM1000. Cheers to all numismatics lover.

RM10 Malaysian ZC prefix replacement note

Got this ZC RM10 replacement note from a change during lunch time. Circulated but still grateful. Since I started to take this hobby more seriously this month, this is the only 3rd replacement note I have found. The other being RM50 current ZA and ZF notes. Btw, found this video from a fellow blogger, hopefully you can try it with your coin collection. Cool. Cheers.

What is a radar number?

Radar Radar bills or banknotes have a serial number that reads the same forwards or backwards! For example, 45733754 is a radar serial number, because you can reverse the digits and it will still be the same number. There are many different examples of this including 72388327 and 03855830 (shown below). I got my second radar notes today. It is a RM10 note given by a non-collector friend. The first one is a RM50 note. Hopefully more to come. Cheers.

50 cent year 1988 extra dot

I am happy today because I managed to get my hands on the 1988 50cents Extra dot on the parliment building coin. I changed RM100 into 50cents coin in the morning from a nearby bank and luckily got the coin. Just being lucky maybe. But not a single 1967 1968 1969 coins with security line. I also managed to find the 1993 50 cents to be added to my 50cents collection . Now only need the 1995 to complete it. Hopefully next time will much luckier. The coin's condition is also good but not nearly an UNC. But I am still satisfied. Cheers.

My 50 cents Malaysian coin collection

I personally like 50cents. My 50 cents collection from the year 1967 till 1988 is completed. In fact I managed to put together 3 sets of this parliment series coins. Note: 1970, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976 no mintage of this kind if not mistaken. But the 50 cents collection from the year 1989 till 2010 is not finish yet, not even the first set. The missing year are 1993(mintage:7,657,991) and 1995(mintage: only1,650,423). Can anyone of you guys can sell me this two coins for cheap? Haha it is harder to find newer coins than the older one. Isn't ironic? Although my coins are not UNC except for some, most of it is EF or fine at the best; I am still proud to have 3 sets of the parliment type coins without buying any of it. Other note: My 10 cents first set parliment collection is missing the 1971 rare coin. My 20 cents first set parliment collection is missing the 1978 coin. My 50 cents first set bunga raya collection is missing the 1993 and 1995 coin. My RM1 silver coin is missing the 198

Coin Hunting

Went coin and notes hunting today with my 2 friends. At first we went to our normal 'Tamu' Gaya Street. But found out that it is almost impossible to find a parking. Circling for almost an hour looking for parking near gaya street before decided to park at the Wisma Merdeka carpark. Bought 3 banknotes at a reasonable price at 'Cikgu Chong' place. 3 Notes for RM12. Searched for 1967-1969 coins but sold out already. Bought two cheap RM1 coin just for collection. Went for lunch before going to Wisma Merdeka to see if any of the shop got any 'new arrival' notes or coins for sale. Bought a UNC RM20 Jaafar Hussein note with TG prefix. Bought another RM20 EF Aziz Taha note with the first TA prefix. Now already got both TA and TE prefix in my collection. Bough a RM1 UNC Aziz Taha. That's all for the day hunted things. It is just 8th of August and already 'pokai' for the month. This hobby is expensive. Should have stick to collecting stamps. Haha. p/s need to
