I acquire this note not long ago, the condition might be at best VF but what I like about this note is the fact that it's prefix is A/1. And I know there is some collector who dig anything with A/1 Prefix. So this is collectable for any acceptable condition.

Oh ya, the above note is for sale here at my facebook sales page.

Malaya and British Borneo Banknotes
The Malaya and British Borneo dollar was the currency of Malaya, Singapore, Sarawak, British North Borneo and Brunei from 1953 to 1967. Malaya continued to use this currency after independence in 1957 and the formation of Malaysia in 1963, as did Singapore after its independence in 1965. via wikipedia
According to Steven Tan's book. The catalog price for these Malaya and British Borneo Banknotes are:
First Page:
Second Page:
All this notes bear the date 21 March 1953, and signed by W.C. Taylor, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioner of Currency. The 1, 5 and 10 dollar notes were printed by Waterlow and Sons, the 50 and 100 dollar notes were printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. and the 1,000 and 10,000 dollar notes were printed by Thomas de la Rue & Co. Ltd..
Third Page:
As a safeguard against forgery, a broken security thread and the watermark of a lion's head were incorporated in the paper before printing.
Pity for me I got only one piece of this series:
And that is also in very fine condition. Anyone want to buy? RM180 only.
I am interested in these notes but the price is pricey. Will try to add to my collection whenever I got a good price in the future.
I am still on holiday till thursday. Hoping to sell my banknotes (2 sold, 3 more to go) before work resumes on friday.
Cheers.
