RM50 ZETI ZC Replacement Note

I found this Replacement note while on my way to bank in my car's monthly installment this evening. But being a numismatic freak I decided to hold on to this note and change it with another note that I withdraw from the ATM.

I am glad I got the AA 000 **** piece which command a higher price than AA 00*****. So another one on my list will be scratch:

My RM50 Malaysian Banknotes Collection

Although my collection consist mainly of VF and EF conditioned banknotes, I am still satisfied to finally put together at least one of the notes from 1st to 12th series. If luck and money permits, maybe I can slowly upgrade the condition to UNC in the future.

It has been a long journey to complete the series. But the joy and satisfaction that comes with it is what makes this hobby interesting. Some hardcore collector will find first prefix, last prefix in the series but for me that is a long way to go because it is not cheap.

So, hopefully I will complete my RM100 collection before CNY next year. Cheers.

RM50 4th Series Aziz Taha VF Condition

Recently I found a new place to buy banknotes and coins in Asia City Plaza, Kota Kinabalu. The sellers they are quite friendly and the stalls are placed ala flee market style.

I went there on Saturday at around 3pm and quickly searched around for any notes that I have been searching for this year.

So I ended buying this one for a good price:

Malaysia Banknote 3rd Series 1976-81 RM50 VF

My first buy of the new year 2011, Malaysia Banknote 3rd Series 1976-81 RM50 Very Good Condition. Bought it for RM200+ through ebay.

I only need the 1st, 2nd and 4th to complete my RM50 collection. Hopefully can get it done this year. Slowly but surely wins the race.

RM50 with special number

I have heard about people searching for this kind of banknotes before:

RM50 special number begin with no 9 mid 9 end with no 9 no 0 in it.

The only thing that is missing from the notes that I am showing above is the total number of digit is not 50. The one above total is only 49.

This is one of the weird kind of notes people are willing to buy.

'Ibu Duit" for special serial number banknote?

I found that some people are looking and willing to pay a high price for a certain serial number that begin with the number 9, middle number also number 9 and end with the number 9. I borrow this RM50 banknote with the number as an example:

It is getting weirder by the day.

What do you think?

ZB prefix replacement RM50 Malaysian banknote

Lucky for me today because found this note when getting a change at the post office. Maybe I need someone to be my friend that work in the post office or better in the bank to get this more often.

Although the condition is at best very fine to almost e. fine. I am still keeping it in my collection.

My first deal with Lunaticg

First deal with lunaticg went smoothly. I bought two notes from him; RM50 Ali Abul side sign and a Jaafar Hussein RM20 TG prefix. Both for me are AUNC condition.
